Alright Steampunks of Tumblr, help me out
I’m hoping to have Steampunk Belle (blue dress) completed by Steampunk World’s Faire. I can handle making the dress (for the most part, I’m still not sure how I want to make a bustle that will come off and let it be Disney movie accurate) but I need some accessories.
What I thought would be good would be to make a funky case for my ereader and to find a way to holster it somehow.
Does anyone know any good tutorials for working with pleather or for making something like what I’m looking for? Or suggestions for things I could do?

I DID THIS EXACT THING LAST WEEKEND. I FINALLY MET TERRANCE MANN WHO IS THE ABSOLUTE LOVE OF MY LIFE BECAUSE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST AND LES MIS AND THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL AND THE FIX AND HIS VOICE IS SO DEEP AND RICH THERE IS NO WAY NOT TO LOVE IT and then at the stage door, the kid who played Pippin and Terrance Mann were signing right on top of each other and they switched places and I almost got skipped by Terrance Mann and I was just like “Terrance Mann come back!” and then he came back, signed my playbill, and left.
Oh and by playbill, I mean my ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST OF LES MISERABLES PLAYBILL. Because I have one of those. And now Terrance Mann has signed it. :-D

I found the exact perfect shade of blue for Belle’s dress!!! I can’t wait to steampunk it up!!!!
Of course the downside of this is it’s too perfect to get away with wearing in Disney World and claiming I’m not trying to be Belle…

This could be a good thing…
I don’t know what to think because the score for this movie is just lovely. But they’re writing a whole bunch of new songs. They’d need to write new songs to make it an official musical, but I’m hesitant to say they’ll be any good. It could either go the BatB/Mary Poppins way or the Little Mermaid way. I’d like to see them go back to the novel, like they did for MP. That worked so well, made the show just different enough from the movie that it was something new and not a cookie cutter of the Julie Andrews film. Little Mermaid (and Tarzan) failed because most of the new songs sucked, and Disney has the money to put a perfect failure on Broadway. I don’t know. This is one of my favorite Disney movies BECAUSE of the songs. We’ll see how it translates…

I THINK I FINALLY HAVE MY DAD CONVINCED TO BE STEAMPUNK MAURICE TO MY STEAMPUNK BELLE!!!!!
I’ve been trying to get him to come to a convention with me and my mother for over a year now, and he won’t come with us!!! But I took him to a multiverse in August, and he realized that everyone is just as geeky as he is, and he doesn’t have to love the steampunk aesthetic to get along with everyone. And then I asked if he’d be Maurice because I have a Belle costume and he said maybe, but now I really think he’s leaning toward doing it!!!!
I know I’m a grown up and stuff, but I have always been Belle, so it’d be really exciting for me to have a grown up father/daughter cosplay with him. :-D
Guys, look. I just made this, and I plan on adding on to it of course. Chris is napping right now but I can’t wait to show it to him when he wakes up! :) There are some things we’ve already done, but I haven’t crossed them off yet. Also, I love the Gaston thing on the first page. I plan on having him sign next to the hearts <3
